What is UserVoice?

UserVoice is an enterprise-grade product feedback management platform that helps large organizations capture, segment, and prioritize customer feature requests. It's a mature, well-regarded tool, built and priced for big companies with dedicated product operations teams.

Who uses it#

UserVoice is aimed squarely at the enterprise. Product managers, customer success teams, and product ops leaders at larger SaaS companies use it to make sense of feedback coming in at scale, often tied into an existing CRM. If you've got hundreds of accounts and a formal prioritization process, it's built for that world.

What it's used for#

The platform covers a broad set of feedback jobs:

  • Feedback capture across web, in-app, and integrations
  • Customer and account segmentation so you can weight requests by revenue or tier
  • Feature-request voting and idea collection
  • Prioritization frameworks to decide what ships next
  • Roadmap views to communicate plans
  • CRM integration, Slack, an API, and data export
  • AI to summarize and surface themes
  • Unlimited end-users and white-labeling

It's genuinely robust. For a large org that needs deep segmentation and CRM-connected feedback, UserVoice does the job well.

Where it's a mismatch for smaller teams#

The catch is pricing and scope. UserVoice starts around $899/month on its Growth plan, billed as a flat rate with an annual commitment. That's a serious spend and a year-long lock-in before you've shipped a thing. For a startup or a small product team, it's a lot of platform, and a lot of cost, for feedback jobs you could handle for far less. It also skips changelog, knowledge base, and surveys in its core feature set, so you'd still be stitching those in separately.

How FeatureOS compares#

FeatureOS handles the same core feedback jobs, boards, voting, prioritization, and roadmap, without the enterprise price tag. It adds what UserVoice leaves out: a changelog to close the loop, a knowledge base, and forms and surveys, plus AI to spot duplicates and surface themes. Pricing is flat and accessible with unlimited end-users and no per-seat fee, across Starter, Growth, Business, and Enterprise plans, with a 14-day trial (extendable to 30 days) to try it first.

If you want UserVoice's feedback jobs without the annual enterprise commitment, FeatureOS is worth a look.
