The loop

How a form becomes feedback.

Build it. Share it. Read the replies. File the ones that matter.

  1. Build. Scratch or a template. List (all questions) or Wizard (one at a time). Drag fields — text, dropdown, poll, rating, NPS, date, and more.

  2. Share. Copy the link, paste the iframe, email a user segment, or enable the widget. Popup or inline, on a URL, after a delay.

  3. Review. Responses land in a table you filter and sort. Highlight rows. AI summary and sentiment sit on each reply.

  4. Convert. Pick a response, Convert to Post, choose the board. It votes, comments, and ships like any other post.

Share

Link, embed, widget.Convert when it counts.

A link, an embed, an email to a segment, or a widget inside the product. Who submits is sign-in, a passcode, one-response, or an expiry date. A reply becomes a board post when you convert it.

  • Direct link from the Share tab
  • Iframe embed on any page
  • In-app widget — popup or inline
  • Email the link to a user segment

Questions about forms

List vs wizard, who can submit, how sharing works, and how a response becomes a post.

Have more questions?

Structured questions you send so people answer what you asked — not an open feedback board. List (all questions on one page) or Wizard (one at a time). A response can be converted into a feedback post on a board when you choose.

A survey is questions you send: you ask, they answer. Feedback is what users post on a board on their own: they tell, you listen. Survey responses stay in the form until you convert one into a post.

List puts every question on one page. Use it for short polls and simple surveys. Wizard shows one question at a time and is the only type that supports Navigation Rules. Use it for longer or branching surveys.

Wizard forms have Navigation Rules: if this answer, go to that field. Operators depend on the field (equals, contains, greater than, and so on). List forms do not support Navigation Rules. This is skip/branch on a Wizard, not a full Typeform logic engine.

Yes. There is an NPS rating field and a star rating field. Navigation Rules can branch on the score (for example, send detractors to a follow-up). CSAT is a survey you build with those fields — not a separate CSAT product.

Copy the link from the Share tab, paste the iframe embed, email the link to a user segment, or enable the in-app widget. The widget can be a popup or inline, limited to segments, a target URL, CSS selectors, a delay, and a dismiss duration.

Yes. Open the response, Convert to Post, pick the board, and optionally set a prompt for how the post is phrased. It then votes, comments, and changes status like any other post. Responses are not converted automatically — you pick which ones.

Anyone with the link, unless you lock it. Settings cover require sign-in, a passcode, one response per user (needs sign-in), captcha, an expiry date, and Close Form to stop new submissions. The widget can also target user segments.

Each form has a Responses table you filter and sort per column. Conditional formatting highlights rows or columns that match a rule. Optional AI Insights add a summary and a Positive / Neutral / Negative tag on each new response. Export the table as CSV.

Yes. Forms → Templates, or start from a template when you create a form. Save your own (list or wizard), assign a category, and reuse them. Applying a template still lets you edit the form.
