When customers visit your feedback portal, they sometimes have questions before submitting a request. Maybe they want to know if a feature already exists, or they need help describing their issue. Having a direct line to your support team right there on the page makes a big difference.
The Help Scout + FeatureOS integration adds a Help Scout Beacon chat widget to your feedback portal. Customers can start a conversation with your team without leaving the page. No need to hunt for a support email or open a separate tab.
How to Add Help Scout to Your FeatureOS Portal#
- In FeatureOS, go to Dashboard > Organization Settings > Integrations.
- Scroll to Chat Widgets and choose Help Scout.
- Paste your Help Scout Beacon ID.
- Click Update.
Your Help Scout chat widget is now live on your FeatureOS portal.
How Help Scout Chat Works on Your Feedback Portal#
A customer lands on your feedback board, spots a feature they care about, and wants to ask your team a quick question before voting or submitting their own idea. They click the chat widget, get a response, and then continue interacting with the portal. The experience stays fluid because they never had to leave.
For support teams, it means conversations happen in context. You know the customer is on your feedback portal, which tells you what they are likely asking about. That context alone speeds up resolution.
Why Teams Use Help Scout with FeatureOS#
Faster support responses because customers reach you right from the portal. Richer feedback because users can clarify their ideas in real time. And a smoother experience overall because your portal becomes a place for both feedback and conversation.
